Improving quality of care and patient safety is at the forefront of the health care agenda. The challenge for all health care providers is to develop, test, and implement successful strategies, processes, and protocols so that patient care can be  improved and sustained over the long run.

Through its grant-funded projects, GNYHA Foundation seeks to assist health care institutions and the workers who deliver care within those institutions to develop and implement new models of care that will better serve patients and their families. GNYHA Foundation achieves this objective by creating collaborative models across consortia of providers and also helping health care workers acquire new skills needed to adapt to the changes taking place in the health care delivery system.
