Relationship to GNYHA

GNYHA Foundation is the not-for-profit affiliate of the Greater New York Hospital Association. The Board of Directors of the Foundation also serves as the Executive Committee of the Association. The Foundation is registered as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization with the Internal Revenue Service.

The Greater New York Hospital Association is a trade organization that engages in advocacy, lobbying, and policy development in order to assist its member hospitals and affiliated continuing care facilities in improving the access to, and the quality of, health care services. The Association includes 300 not-for-profit and public hospitals and continuing care facilities in its membership. The Association's continuing care facilities are housed within the separately incorporated Continuing Care Leadership Coalition.

GNYHA Foundation leverages the strong connection between Association staff and staff working within GNYHA member hospitals and affiliated continuing care facilities to develop projects that meet the needs of the health care community and advance a quality health care agenda. The Foundation utilizes the proven talents of the Association staff and, when necessary, additional outside experts, to promote the delivery of the Foundation's projects.
