In April 2020, GNYHA Foundation was awarded a five-year cooperative agreement from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR), Hospital Association COVID-19 Preparedness and Response Activities program. This program was authorized as part of the Coronavirus Preparedness and Response Supplemental Appropriations Act. The funding is supporting the urgent preparedness and response needs of hospitals, health systems, and health care workers on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic in order to prepare them to safely and successfully identify, isolate, assess, transport, and treat patients with COVID-19.
